Breathe 2008

Breathe is an outdoor summer festival hosted by Joshua House, a community of Vineyard Church of Columbus, Ohio. Each summer since 2001, several hundred twenty-somethings from all over have gathered together in a field to pray for each other, worship God, grow in their faith, listen to great bands, sleep under the stars, and have a blast with their friends. This year, Breathe takes place on July 18-20 at Heartland Retreat Center, situated about 30 minutes north of Columbus.

Breathe 2008: Collide

When God collides with our life, everything changes. This was the central message of Jesus-as God's kingdom collides with our world, our life is now colliding with God's life.

We try to change ourselves but it never works. To break through our addictions, our brokenness, and our pain, we need the kingdom of God to collide with our life.

We try to change our world on our own but it never works. We need the God's kingdom to break in and bring light and hope to the darkness in our world.

Join us for Breathe 2008 and experience the kingdom of God colliding with your life and transforming you into a person that can bring God's kingdom to a broken world.

The Crowd- all ages welcome!:

It doesn't matter who you are or where you are coming from-you are welcome at Breathe 2008! The campground is full of single people, married couples, and families with kids!

Every year people come who don't know a soul, so don't worry about coming alone; we'll connect you to a small group's campsite and will introduce you to some great folks!

Come if you want to experience the most raw kind of relationships there are: fresh-air, grungy, sleeping-in-tents style community that you can't get anywhere but in a campground filled with you and hundreds of your new best friends.

Come because you love to see Jesus meet people, or because you love to worship, or because you love to laugh. In His presence we will be changed into the kind of people he wants us to be.

The Experience

"We are made to worship our creator, and there is nothing that fills me with love and hope like just pouring my heart out in worship until I've got nothing left. That's how the breathe festival is. The Holy Spirit goes on you like a cloud Old Testament style."

"I have always loved to worship God, but now I feel like He's close to me, even in my face, when I worship."

"Although I have attended church for years, I've never felt more accepted and close to people as I did at Breathe."

"During that weekend, I was able to express and connect with God, that was something I've wanted to since the day I was born."

"I know community isn't just another 'catch phrase' here. It is real."
