what to bring

Breathe is an outdoor festival that takes place at the Heartland Retreat Center situated about 30 minutes north of Columbus. You will need to bring your own tent to sleep in. If you would rather sleep indoors, there are a few motels nearby. 

Bring your own food and be a wilderness chef for the weekend or you many purchase a limited variety of hot food and snacks from the Heartland camp vendors. (No alcoholic beverages, please).

The facilites include bathhouses with plenty of showers, basketball courts, volleyball courts, soccer fields, a pool, and plenty of open areas for other activities.

Things to bring to Breathe:

  • Camping chair (for main sessions and breakouts)
  • Bible & Journal
  • Flashlight
  • Water bottle
  • Camera
  • Sleeping bag/Mattress
  • Blanket & Pillow
  • Towels/Shower Stuff
  • Clothes!!
  • Walking shoes (for trails)
  • Bathing suit (1-pc for ladies)
  • Bug Spray
  • Sunscreen
  • Watch
  • Snack/Dessert to share
  • 12-pack or 1 Gal Water
  • Food (especially if you signed up to bring it)
  • Any camping gear you have – please label with your name!!
  • Toothbrush/paste
