frequently asked questions

Q: Can I still get the early bird price even though it's after the deadline?
A: unfortunately, no. We are unable to extend the discounted pricing beyond the early bird
deadline.
Q: Is there a special rate for VCC staff members?
A: Yes, an email will be sent to all VCC staff from Karen Wilson that includes the VCC staff
pricing and registration form. (email will be sent the week of May 18)
Q: What if I can only attend some of the sessions, but I can't be there the entire time?
A: Anyone staying overnight is charged the full-festival price due to our contract with
Heartland. Individual session attendance is $20 per session payable at the gate.
Q: Can I bring a camper to Breathe?
A: Small upright or pop-up campers are permitted in the Breathe camping area of
Heartland, understanding that there are no hookups in the field, and if they get stuck (in case
it is really muddy) they are on their own to arrange help to pull them out. (Heartland doesn't
have equipment heavy enough to pull anybody out.) If someone wanted to bring a full size
camper like a fifth wheel or a big diesel pusher, they will need to make a reservation in the
RV park (a separate section of the Heartland retreat center on the same grounds as
Breathe, just down the lane a little ways). The rate will be $21/dayfor a full hook up, and
$18/day for a partial hook up.
Q: Are scholarships available for Breathe?
A: Scholarships are available for up to 50% of the registration price. Scholarship
applications are available at the Breathe info counter or from your small group leader and
must be turned in to the Breathe info counter (or the Breathe email account on the
application) no later than Sunday, July 12. Decisions will be made and scholarship
applicants will be notified by Tuesday, July 14.
Q: Can individuals under age 18 attend Breathe?
A: Anyone under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult parent or chaperone.
Q: Can I make payments toward my total admission fee?
A: Yes! If you place at least $20 down at the Breathe info counter (cash or checks only)
before June 14, you can get early bird pricing and then make payments at the Breathe info
counter until the festival.
Q: Is there a cancellation policy if I registered but can’t attend?
A: All cancellations must be sent to us in writing () or to the attention
of Breathe 2009 at the church mailing address and must be postmarked by July 3, 2009.
We regret that cancellations will not be taken after July 1st. All cancellations will forfeit $10
in administration fees and may take up to 30 days for processing.
